At My Feet

This is an ongoing photographic practice that began approximately seven years ago while I was adapting to a new place, a new environment, and the social and human experience of being somewhere unfamiliar.

I have always found photography to have a kind of magic. My father worked as a photographer for many years, traveling throughout Argentina and around the world with Canon. Growing up with that connection, having a camera in my hands has always felt connected to adventure, to being on the hunt for something unexpected.

Walking with a camera became a way of learning how to look, but also a way of developing my own relationship with a new environment. I look for scenes that are funny, strange, beautiful, curious, or sometimes simply difficult to explain: visual coincidences, tricks of the eye, fragments of trash, traces of human activity, and small moments that might otherwise disappear unnoticed.

The photographs become a record of human transit and of the continuous transformation of the urban landscape. I am interested in what people leave behind, what accumulates around us, and how ordinary actions slowly alter the places we inhabit.

Walking, looking, photographing, and collecting these moments have become part of my way of thinking. The camera gives me a reason to stay curious, to keep searching for something hiding in plain sight.
